End User License Agreement

SkillsManager (the “Software”) is proprietary software. It is free to use but is not open source. By downloading, installing, or using the Software you agree to this License.

1. License grant

You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software, at no cost, for your own personal or internal business purposes.

2. Restrictions

You may not:

sell, rent, lease, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise make the Software available to any third party;
repackage, rebrand, or distribute modified copies of the Software;
reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Software, except to the extent this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
remove or alter any copyright or other proprietary notices.

3. Ownership

The Software, and all intellectual property rights in it, remain the exclusive property of Alexander van der Sar. No rights are granted except those expressly set out in this License.

4. Your data and third-party services

The Software reads and writes configuration files on your own computer (for example under ~/.claude and in folders you choose). You are solely responsible for your files and for keeping your own backups. Any optional AI features use third-party services (e.g. OpenRouter) under your own account and API keys, subject to those providers’ terms; the Software’s author is not a party to and is not responsible for those services.

5. No warranty — provided “as is”

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE AUTHOR DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR SECURE. YOU USE THE SOFTWARE ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

6. Limitation of liability — no responsibility for any issues or data loss

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE AUTHOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES WHATSOEVER, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OR CORRUPTION OF DATA OR FILES, LOST PROFITS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY RELATED TO THE USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE SOFTWARE — EVEN IF THE AUTHOR HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENCES OF USING THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING ANY CHANGES IT MAKES TO YOUR FILES.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for certain damages; in such cases the above exclusions and limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.

7. Termination

This License terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms. On termination you must stop using the Software and delete all copies.

8. Governing law

This License is governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not download, install, or use the Software.
